CHICAGO — Hundreds of protesters broke away from a large rally and began marching through Chicago streets Friday, taunting police and shouting about everything from bank bailouts to nuclear power — a prelude to even bigger demonstrations expected after the start of a NATO summit.
Each month, the Delaware County District Library’s librarians work diligently to select books, DVDs and audio books to be purchased for the library system. They read reviews, watch professional journals, check library blogs and even visit book stores to make sure that they are choosing items that are responsive to and useful for the Delaware community. As the new items are added to the shelves, they are distributed among the four branches: Delaware (Main), Powell, Ostrander and Orange.
