The Delaware County Historical Society Board of Trustees appointed Alice Frazier, M.D. as its newest member at the Jan. 16 meeting.

Already very active in community affairs, she is also a board member on the Sarah Moore Home board, and for the League of Women Voters in Delaware, Ohio. She was on the SourcePoint board from 2009—2015.

Professionally, Dr. Frazier worked at The Ohio State University in Worthington practicing in Family Medicine and teaching medical students. She also worked at a clinic in Mansfield and at the Union County Health Department.

She had a family practice in Sunbury from 1981 to 2003.

Dr. Frazier agreed to serve on the DCHS board because she loves history, a news release states. She believes in the mission of the Historical Society and volunteers in other capacities there in addition to now serving on the board.

The Delaware County Historical Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, preserve and sustain interest in the history of Delaware County. The Barn at Stratford is operated by DCHS as an event venue for weddings, corporate meetings and other special occasions.
