CINCINNATI (AP) — A fundraiser for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has been postponed in the aftermath of the Orlando nightclub shootings.
The presumptive Democratic nominee was going ahead with a campaign appearance and speech Monday in Cleveland.
Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley says the fundraiser at his home was postponed to honor the Orlando victims. Cranley rescheduled a planned Monday press conference for Wednesday. Clinton’s campaign says it’s not clear if the fundraiser will be reset for Wednesday.
The Hamilton County area that includes Cincinnati has been the largest swing county in swing-state Ohio in recent presidential elections. Democrat Barack Obama carried it twice while winning Ohio in both of his elections.
