Ohio homeowner shoots man trying to get into wrong house

CINCINNATI (AP) — Police near Cincinnati say a homeowner shot and wounded a man who was trying to get into the wrong house.

Officers in Colerain Township say the man who was shot was from out of town and staying at another house on the same street.

The homeowner shot the man early Sunday when he was trying to get into the front door.

Colerain Township police spokesman Jim Love tells The Cincinnati Enquirer that the homeowner thought he was being robbed and is not facing charges at this time.

The victim in the shooting was hit in the shoulder and is recovering at a hospital.
