David and Linda Kahler of Sunbury


David and Linda Kahler of Sunbury are celebrating 50 years of marriage.

They were married June 19, 1966, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dola, Ohio.

They have two daughters. Michelle (Matt) McConnell of Marysville, Ohio, and Melissa (Darren) McKenzie of Anthem, Arizona. They are the proud grandparents to five: Zack, Colby, Maria, Hunter and Nick.

To celebrate their anniversary, friends are invited to an open house on Sunday, June 26, at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunbury from 2 to 4 p.m.

Dave’s occupations span 47 years with the former OMEDA and now the United Equipment Dealers Association, covering the states of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky. Dave retired in 2008 after 39 years (29 as CEO). He currently works part time as associate director.

Linda retired from Morning View after 32 years, 25 as activity director at Sunbury Nursing Home in Sunbury. She now works part time as a beautician at Heartland in Centerburg.

They have lived in the Sunbury area since 1973.
