Orange’s Zoning Commission has had meetings recently, as well. While minutes have not been posted, the legal notices of what they talked about are available.

• April 9 was a draft zoning resolution work session, with possible approval of pending Zoning Commission minutes.

• There were two applications considered on April 23. First was a rezone of 1.3 acres to allow for the expansion of Pickups Plus Cars “with a new commercial building, for automobile sales and service,” the notice said. The second was a minor development plan amendment for Pulte Homes.

“After the conclusion of such hearing, the matters will be submitted to the Orange Township Board of Trustees for its action,” the notice said.

• The May 28 meeting concerned a property at 696 Lewis Center Road, Lewis Center, “Requesting a development plan amendment associated with Marigold (fka Aldeia) to modify the site plan allowing for additional green space, 120 single family condominiums and 1 estate lot.”

• The notice for July 23 was for Evans Farm to allow temporary banners 250 square feet in surface area.

The Zoning Commission consists of Chair Christine Trebellas, Vice Chair Dennis McNulty, Karthik Avadhanula, Rick Beer, Pamela Foster, Mark Freeman, Ciara Harris and Les Pierce. Also attending are Development and Zoning Director Robin Duffee, Senior Zoning Officer Brett Wiemken (later replaced by Eric Gayetsky) and Zoning Inspector Andrew Koenig (who resigned June 28).
