Flying Horse Farms hosting annual campfire

MOUNT GILEAD — Flying Horse Farms (FHF), a medical specialty camp that provides transformative experiences for kids with serious illnesses and their families at no cost, is excited to announce our annual Campfire event.

The campfire will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. Throughout the night guests will explore camp while connecting with camper families to see FHF through their eyes. Additionally, during the program campers will take the stage to illustrate what a world like camp could be like. For attendees looking to dive deeper into the camp’s mission, the VIP portion will take place in the empty pool – spotlighting adaptations made for every kid to swim.

Come see what a world committed to kindness, compassion, and possibility – or, as we call it, “camp magic” – looks like in action and how FHF makes accessibility possible for every camper.

“Camp shows up with and for every family wherever they are on their journey,” Nichole E. Dunn, president and CEO of Flying Horse Farms, said. “This year, the camp community set out to make even more possible for every camper. Now, as we look ahead to what more we can create together, we are using camp’s values to shape a better world.”

By participating in Campfire, you become part of a movement to create a lasting impact and bring more kids and families to the camp at no cost. So, come “glamp casual” for a discovery tour, spotlighting the intentional adaptations, and enjoy camp-inspired bites from Cameron Mitchell Premier Events along the way.

The camp, located 45 minutes north of Columbus and 90 minutes south of Cleveland at 5260 State Route 95 in Mount Gilead, provides medically, physically, and emotionally safe experiences for kids and their families. Its mission is to foster healing, growth, and thriving for children with significant health challenges.
