ResiFest! returning to Delaware Sept. 22

ResiFest! returns to Delaware for its second annual celebration of community, mental health resilience, and the arts on Sunday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Boardman Arts Park. This family-friendly event will feature live music, artisan vendors, food trucks, mental health resources, and wellness activities, all in the name of bringing people together for a cause that touches us all.

Founded by Delaware’s own singer-songwriter Anne Gadd (Imber Solis), ResiFest! was created in memory of Gadd’s childhood friend, Amy Luxenburger, a 2004 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School who tragically completed suicide in her late 20’s. To honor her vibrant spirit and passion for music, the festival showcases “Amy’s Stage,” featuring intimate acoustic performances from local musicians throughout the day.

This year’s ResiFest! will also include a Restoration Station, offering wellness services such as Reiki, massage, psychic readings, and personalized essential oils through Ampersand Essential Oils. Attendees can unwind, recharge, and connect in a space dedicated to self-care and mindfulness.

A highlight of the festival will be the epic raffle, featuring incredible prizes such as a Nashville Guitar Works acoustic guitar and other items donated by local businesses and artisans.

Event highlights include:

• Two stages of live performances featuring local musicians, speakers and dancers.

• Restoration Station offering massages, Reiki, and more for mental and physical relaxation.

• Vendors and food trucks featuring a variety of local artisans and eats.

• Raffle featuring prizes like an acoustic guitar and local goods.

• Kids Corner featuring a bounce house, mini horses, a musical instrument petting zoo, and other kids activities.

• Benefactors include Women’s City Club and collecting items to donate to Common Ground Free Store Ministries.

With September being Suicide Awareness Month, the event takes on even greater significance, aiming to provide a supportive space where attendees can find community, healing, and hope.
