The Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) inducted six alumni into its Hall of Fame during a ceremony held last week.

The induction ceremony took place on Sept. 26 at the DACC’s Consolidated Campus in front of an audience of hundreds of local business leaders and family members of the inductees.

The six alumni — Nick Ambrozich, Doug Andres, Hannah Clegg, Justin Grubb, Ashley Koehler and Mike White — were recognized for their professional achievements, contributions to their industries, and dedicated service to the community.

In a release, the DACC said its Hall of Fame “celebrates the accomplishments of alumni who have excelled in their careers and made significant impacts in their fields and communities.” Candidates must have graduated at least 10 years prior to their nominations, exhibited active involvement as DACC students, achieved notable success in their careers, and demonstrated a commitment to giving back, the DACC reported.

“Our Hall of Fame inductees are living proof of what a DACC education can lead to,” said Dave Gilliam, DACC high school director. “We want current students to look up to them and see the potential they have within themselves.”

The DACC reported the inductees were:

• Nick Ambrozich, a deputy with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office who has shown leadership and dedication to public service. He was named Deputy of the Year in 2023 and continues to mentor students and serve on the DACC Advisory Committee.

• Doug Andres started his welding career while at DACC and now leads the DACC High School Welding program. He has achieved a 100% pass rate on industry certification exams and remains involved in community engagement through 4-H and Boy Scouts.

• Hannah Clegg is the youngest female creative director at IBM iX, leading in the creative technology field. She actively mentors DACC students, provides job shadowing opportunities, and serves on the Digital Design Advisory Board.

• Justin Grubb co-founded Running Wild Media, an award-winning production company focused on wildlife conservation. His work is featured on platforms like BBC and National Geographic, and he continues to mentor DACC students.

• Ashley Koehler is an attorney-advisor for NOAA’s Office of General Counsel, specializing in marine wildlife protection. She has been recognized for her work on the Marine Mammal Protection Act and remains involved in mentoring young lawyers.

• Mike White, associate dean of technical programs at Marion Technical College, oversees multiple departments and correctional education programs. He is pursuing a doctorate in higher education and continues to advocate for career technical education.

Inductees’ names and photos will be displayed in the DACC main campus as part of the Hall of Fame exhibit. Nominations for the next Hall of Fame will be accepted in 2029.
