Ghost Walk returns to Delaware

Boardman Arts Park is daring the public to embark on a haunted adventure — a ghost walk through historic Delaware.

On Saturday, Oct. 19, the most haunted streets in the Northwest Neighborhood are ready to serve up the spookiest of experiences.

Reserve a spot now for the Ghost Walk tours offered at 5, 6, and 7 p.m. on Oct. 19.

For those who dare, they can venture into some of the most haunted streets in Delaware’s Northwest Neighborhood. On the tour, participants will hear actual ghost accounts from residents living alongside the spirits.

The walk begins at Boardman Arts Park, located at 154 W. William St., and features eight stops, including a tour of Delaware’s Victorian jail.

“Get ready for a fun night filled with spooky ghost stories!” said Roxanne Amidon, executive director of Boardman Arts Park.

The tour is approximately a 1.5-mile walk, and tourgoers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance; the ticket link can be found at givebutter.com/GHOSTWALK.

Tickets sell out? No problem — Boardman Arts Park is also seeking volunteers for the event. People with a flair for the dramatic are being sought to accompany a tour as storytellers, and the nonprofit is also looking for guides to assist the tour groups. Volunteer details can be found at boardmanartspark.org/ghost-walk or by emailing the event team at [email protected].

Proceeds from Ghost Walk will benefit Boardman Arts Park, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in the heart of Delaware. The park is funded by the Ohio Arts Council, and through grants and community support, it is able to offer low cost and free events. Ghost Walk is sponsored by Willow Brook Christian Communities and Barry Ramey with Ramey & Son Concrete Construction.
